Its been an exciting year so far! Back in Dec we had the honor of opening up for The Legendary Billy Joe Shaver! What a great packed show at Smiths Olde Bar in Atlanta, GA! After that, the holidays were awesome..hanging with the family then back up to Nashville. 

Jan. 4th we played at Music City Roots in Nashville, TN at the infamous Loveless Barn. Super fun show...now??

Well, now I'm working hard on finishing up and adding to songs for the new record. We are working on developing an indiegogo page for funding for this record to hopefully be done by March(my bday present to myself) :)

Nashville has been amazing to me and I thank each and every one of you who have supported me, prayed for me, come to the shows and bought the music! You are why I keep loving what I do and I especially want to thank those of you who have shared your stories and your thoughts!

I wish all of you the best 2012 that it can bring you and to meet each and every one of you at a show along the way!

The recent trip to Nashville was crazy..good...and what a story! I drove in Tuesday afternoon, went straight into a meeting and listened to some great tunes...went to stay with some great people who offered up their home to me during my stay that I had met while playing on the Music City Roots show in Nashville early January. I played some acoustic tunes by the fire, had some laughs then off to sleep. Woke up early Wednesday, met up with a legendary songwriter over some great coffee, then off to meetings for the rest of the day...listened to so many songs, my head was spinning with excitement! Then at 4pm while I was in a meeting on Music Row, I looked out the window to a heck of alot of snow spilling from the sky and fast. Ran out of the meeting, wiped the inch of snow off the windshield and then got caught in 2 hours of traffic to just get 5 blocks down the way. The people I stayed with drove all the way from their house to come and pick me up, left the rental car downtown and spent a great night with some more laughs. I ended up staying an extra night and believe me did not want to leave...can't wait to get back!

So I'm in a new chapter of my life, feeling like the new year is bringing in so many great opportunities for my career and for my life! Sometimes God can really throw us a loop and make us remember that everything happens the way that it is supposed to. I have an amazing family and group of friends. Julie Gribble has been named a finalist in the GA Lottery All Access Music Search in the country category. During the month she will be performing in Macon, Columbus, Savannah and Atlanta for listening parties for the competition. Thanksgiving weekend the 12 finalists will perform at the Atlanta Falcons Game at the GA Dome on Sunday for the halftime show!

After the halftime show, the voting begins!

Hey all so for the month of October Julie will be appearing live on the new webseries by comedian Seth Green as Tristan's songwriting coach. This will be a live reality show and Julie will appear once a week to guide Tristan on writing a new song! At the end of the show, a live music and comedy show will air as well on www.controltv.com with Julie also performing one of her songs from her latest release!

So, the new date that my performance will air on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson will be Aug.11th so set those tivos and let's hope this time it's not bumped!!
